CONFIDENTIAL MENTAL HEALTH ASSISTANCE
Peer Support Services has has enabled a multitude of police offers to seek and get help without us knowing who they are or where they work. Don't wait until you're in the latter stages of suicidal ideation before you seek help. The very first time it appears in your thought process, that is when you should go to a clinician who is familiar with the first responder mentality and culture and they will help you figure out what is wrong. The clinician is NOT required to alert ANYONE at this stage and they will provide you with opitions that YOU are comfortable with and YOU can make the decision on how to proceed. In fact, any type of mental health issue that you may or may not have is handled much more professionally than in years past.
Please go to masscoppeersupportquiz.org and follow instructions to take a confidential quiz that is answered by retired Boston Police officers who will be able to direct you to the appropriate resources to address whatever concerns you have. Don't put it off! Today could be the day to start a new healthy, happy life. The first move is yours; all you have to do is ask!
Mission Statement: Helping Officers on the Road to Recovery
As of 2022 our mission statement has been upgraded from one as instructors to also assisting officers in getting the help they need in a confidential manner. I know first hand the fear and difficulty in coming forward, especially when it comes to suicidal thinking. You are not alone! We will walk you through the process until you get safely into the treatment we agree upon and post treatment we will do our best to keep you on that road to recovery, but its a two way street, you have to do the work. If you are looking for guidance in getting confidential assistance, I can help you navigate your way into treatment. Either email me at brian@peersupportservices.net or text or call me at 617-719-1605
